Kerosene is a liquid hydrocarbon mixture that has no color and with oily consistency, which is obtained by distilling oil. Kerosene is the purest of light petroleum products and has a density of 0,78-0,85 g/cm3 at 20 degrees, with flash temperature from 28 to 72 degrees.

According to ADR, kerosene belongs to the substances of the 3rd class of hazard (HFL) and has UN No.1223. Transportation of kerosene with a volume of more than 1000 liters is considered the transportation of dangerous goods and is regulated by special regulations. Depending on the container and packaging, the delivery of kerosene is carried out either by boarded and tented vehicles (barrels, euro cubes, canisters), or by tank and tank containers. Regardless of the type of transport, any car must be appropriately marked with hazard signs.
